2007 Ford Mustang GT
Ford has done an excellent job on the new auto cars, don't count out the slushbox anymore!
As part of “Wes’s Fun Dyno Day“, I brought up my wife’s bone stock automatic 2007 GT to participate in an auto vs stick shootout.
I made identical 93 octane tunes for both the auto and stick cars – these would be something on the order of what you’d get via mailorder. Average power was up 7hp and 10tq across the entire pull. Pedal feel and the performance of the automatic transmission is unreal between stock and tuned. My first mod on any automatic car would be a tune hands down.

Bone stock with a tune we were able to get a 13.49 launching off idle. Mods on the way…
