Making some amazing power already, we were able to improve on an already strong car and pickup some great throttle response. Average gains everywhere across the powerband were 9hp and 12tq over the chip he had previously installed.

We met Alex at the track as he made his first outing with his new ’stang. He ran a best of 13.6 with removed cats, Roush CAI, Steeda throttlebody spacer and a chip to modify the IAT temperatures.

We dyno’d each mod and found the IAT modification to be surprisingly effective. It (mostly) counteracted the cat overtemp protection which really kills power. I was able to go in and properly tune his Roush CAI and retune the electronic throttle to open much quicker and give better overall response. I also was able to increase the spark advance for some nice gains. We ended up removing the IAT “chip” and Steeda spacer as we found them counterproductive on the dyno.

Baseline dyno #s MustangDyne: 273hp / 297tq (SAE corrected)
Final dyno #s MustangDyne: 286hp / 305tq (SAE corrected)

Dyno Chart with both runs

UPDATE 1/15: Alex headed back out to the track after the dynotuning and ran a 13.1 @ 107 – great driving man!

UPDATE 2/6: Once again Alex shows off his driving skills – 12.98 @ 106.99
