Tates new build

Tate's new build

Props to Tate for not only putting together a nice combo but also being willing to try something that the “crowd” usually does not. Tate is a cool guy and really knows his stuff when it comes to engines. I first saw this car when I put a basic “break-in” tune on it and was really looking forward to tuning it once it had a few miles and any new build type bugs worked out. We were able to identify a few issues when we did the break in tune (wacked out O2 sensors for one) so when Tate brought it back he had not only corrected those things but he and Stephen had really stepped up the way this car looks in a big way!

For the baseline pull Tate installed 30lb injectors and a C&L mass air, I kept the tune safe to see where we stood with the new parts. Once we saw where it was, I corrected the fueling and then began to dial up the power. This is a nice car with an amazing torque curve. I have seen that it will spin the tires without any problem whatsoever.

Final dyno #s MustangDyne: 268hp / 279tq (SAE corrected)

There’s more mods in store for this car, including a slight mechanical problem with the fueling down low. Look to see this one again with even more power!
