Track Day!

Tuesday, January 6th, 2009

Last minute notice but we will be headed out to the No Problem Raceway on Wednesday the 7th. Look for two of our shop S197 cars out there – the auto and stick. The stick car has taken on a couple more mods while the auto is still stock.

It’ll be a great night – we are meeting at the TPS shop at 5:00 pm and driving in from there. Hope to see you there!

Dyno Fun Day – Starting the new year off right

Saturday, January 3rd, 2009

I always enjoy having the occasional days where I get to do some R&D on the dyno with interesting cars and combos. On new year’s day I called a small gathering up to the shop to partake in some tuning/dyno’ing and push the limits of what I normally do to continue improving myself as a tuner. This “fun day” like every other before it paid huge dividends.

Watch for some interesting articles to come out of Thursday’s fun…

The headline event was a S197 auto vs stick shootout, both cars factory stock and then with an identical base tune on 93 octane. You’ll see more of these two in the future as they take on mods and track time.

We also had a Fox with nitrous in the mix that turned out to be badly in need of a tune.

Rounding out the show were two powerhouse imports that would put most run of the mill v8’s to shame… better get some mods to keep up with these guys!

Stay tuned soon for dyno charts, pictures and more…
